1. Acceptance of Terms

By contacting, hiring, or engaging True North Handyman Co for any service, or by using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all residential handyman and home repair services provided throughout Greenville, SC and the surrounding Upstate South Carolina area.

2. Services Provided

True North Handyman Co provides residential handyman and home repair services including plumbing services, carpentry services, electrical services, exterior services, flooring services, general home maintenance, installation and mounting services, and painting and drywall services.

Any work requiring a licensed contractor by South Carolina state law will be referred to an appropriate licensed professional. We reserve the right to decline any job outside our scope of expertise.

3. Estimates & Pricing

We provide upfront pricing with no hidden fees. All estimates are based on information provided by the client prior to the job. Final pricing may be adjusted if the actual scope of work differs from what was originally described. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Additional work discovered during a job will be communicated and approved by you before proceeding. Material costs are separate from labor unless otherwise stated in writing.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation

Appointments are confirmed via phone or email. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance incur no fee. Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a trip charge. We will notify you as early as possible if we need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances or unsafe working conditions.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit and debit cards. Larger projects may require a deposit before work begins. Invoices not paid within 30 days may be subject to a late fee. Disputes over invoices must be raised within 7 days of receipt.

6. Warranty & Limitation of Liability

We offer a 30-day workmanship warranty on labor for all completed jobs. If something we installed or repaired fails due to our workmanship within 30 days, we will return to correct it at no additional labor cost. This warranty does not cover damage caused by client misuse, third-party alterations, or normal wear and tear. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service in question.

7. Property Access & Client Responsibilities

By scheduling a service, you grant True North Handyman Co authorized access to your property to complete the agreed-upon work. You are responsible for securing valuables, fragile items, and pets from the work area. You must disclose any known hazards such as asbestos, lead paint, or mold prior to work beginning. An adult aged 18 or older must be present on the property during service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Code of Conduct

We are committed to a respectful working environment. True North Handyman Co reserves the right to immediately cease work and leave the property if any technician is subjected to harassment, threatening behavior, discrimination, or an unsafe work environment.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website including text, images, and logos is the property of True North Handyman Co and may not be copied or reproduced without prior written permission. We may photograph completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes. If you do not wish for your project to be photographed, please inform us in writing before work begins.

10. Privacy

Your personal information is collected solely for the purpose of providing and communicating about our services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Disputes & Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us directly. If unresolved, both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Greenville County, South Carolina.

12. Changes to Terms

True North Handyman Co reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
